Association of Citizens Civil Rights Protection
On the occasion of the Day of Biodiversity, Sheshpir area was cleaned with the presence of active civil societies, officials of the province, mayor and local communities of Homashahr
The ceremony was held on the occasion of the Closing of the International Green Film Festival on May 22 coinciding with the International Day for Biodiversity while the participation of active environmental organizations of Fars Province and the Association of Citizens Civil Rights Protection along with provincial managers was remarkable and sincere cooperation of Homashahr municipality and local communities was the aspect of a collaborative working and played a beautiful role in the environment.
Mr. Mohammad Reza Golehamishe Bahar, chairman of the Society for the Association of Citizens Civil Rights Protection Citizens, emphasizing on the necessity of the sense of responsibility of citizens towards the environment, said that “we are all responsible for the environment and every one of us, the citizens, should play well a role in this regard.”
Secretary General of the Association of Friends of the Environment appreciated the presence of the provincial senior managers and representatives of environmental organizations at the ceremony and said common understanding and the presence of provincial and local authorities and managers and the chief leader for Friday prayers led the program to have more impact among locals and caused the desired culture.
Mr. Mohammad Reza Golehamishe Bahar expressed the hope that the ceremony which was jointly held, be grounds for future common culture establishment of environmental civil society.
Ms. Leila Emami, secretary of Friends of the Environment, also pointed to the positive effects of such programs and said that the presence of the retired managers and senior cultural citizens and children and youth together with the officials appealed to the people and local communities so that Eco tourists who had come to Sheshpir area from all over the province seeing the collaboration of others, park their cars and came to help environmental friends. She appreciated the cooperation of all local and provincial authorities, in particular, Development Deputy of Governor of Fars Province, General Manager of the Technical Office of Governor of Fars Province, the chief leader for Friday prayers and mayor of Homashahr and said that we needed empathy and cooperation and joint action by all members of the society to prevent environmental degradation.
